We offer theHands-On and Written Test:Thisallows you take part of the class online and part of the class in person and then take the test.
We do not offer the Traditional Hunter Education at this time, which is a two day in person only class then you take the test.
Topics include gun safety, wildlife management, survival/first aid, game identification, and how to hunt safely and ethically. Below is a link to all classes available in West Virginia. Students who have not reached their 10th birthday by the written test date of the class will not receive a permanent hunter education certification. This course is FREE to complete online. After finishing the online portion, you must register for the hands-on and written test, which takes approximately four hours. Please print your certificate of completion from the online course and bring a paper copy with you on the day of testing. Printed copy of certificates must be presentedin order to receive your card. If you do not bring a printed certificate of completion, a card will not be issued. Click the link below to get started.
After completing the online portion, register for one of our in person classes.
